Eitan, Summer 2023

“This summer I had the incredible opportunity to live and work in Israel as a part of the Cornell Onward program. I was employed at a company called Firefly Neuroscience, where my role involved creating code to analyze brain scans. My job was Hybrid, allowing me to strike an amazing balance between working in the office, where I had the chance to meet and connect with my coworkers, and exploring local cafes near my apartment to set up for the day. Getting to know Israel and its people was one of the most rewarding experiences of the summer. My absolute favorite memory was waking up at the crack of dawn to go to the beach at 6 in the morning to play volleyball with the Israelis before work. The people there were so open and welcoming that it was not hard to feel at home.”-Eitan, Class of 2025
