• Yuval A. – Boston Haifa, Summer 2018

“One highlight of the trip was when we stayed at a moshav called Shadmot Dvora. For three days we lived, worked, and learned alongside other Onward participants and Israelis our own age. Between clearing an olive grove and feeding chickens at Kibbutz Harduf, we had many discussions on all kinds of topics. Inspired by writings from Jewish authors as well as the Tanakh, we tackled spirituality, the meaning of Shabbat, and the importance of staying connected to the earth! Although we were sweaty and dirty most of the time, the seminar really helped us make connections with each other. It was incredible to work in the same place as so many Jewish people who came before us.”
