Matthew B. – Cleveland, Summer 2021

This trip has been a very meaningful experience throughout the last few weeks, we’ve had the privilege of getting to know Israel through our own lenses of independence as young adults. We’ve also been able to see Israel from a Cleveland perspective when we got to visit Bet Shaan, we were exposed to the beautiful springs that the region has to offer, we were able to visit her youth community center and see how the young people of that community create a productive environment which they can come together and thrive. We got to share meals with locals of the area who treated us with warmth and hospitality. To say I am grateful is an understatement, that section of the trip was beautiful. The Shabbaton was also a nice experience, we got to spend time in a Kibbutz, and got to spend a really nice time with Israeli’s on another program, who we became very close with. We also got to explore the Negev desert and see all that it has to offer. I love this trip and I appreciate all that it has to offer, thank you Onward Israel Cleveland.
