I worked as a research intern at the Fine Rocket Propulsion Center at the Technion. I spent most of my time writing code to simulate the conditions of a certain kind of rocket engine in order to run tests with it. The coolest part of my internship, even if it wasn’t supposed to happen, was getting to watch the combustion reaction of one of the experiments. We got to watch on a tv in a separate room as the combustion chamber blew out and made the fire green. My favorite part about the program was a combination of the people on my program and getting to be in Tel Aviv for the duration. It was a truly amazing experience that I wish I could have again, and I feel significantly more connected to Israel because of it.
