“I can’t thank you for the beauty of this country, or the strong and admirable culture I have fallen in love with, but I can thank you for helping me get here to experience it and take care of all the difficulties of moving somewhere and integrating in the culture.  I work for the Israeli Security Agency.  Here, despite the fact that I am 18 and have taken two economics classes in my life, I was given work on the first day and I am treated as everyone else. Every weekend on this trip has been filled with adventure. Even the weekends where my friends and I chose to stay in Jerusalem were filled with exploration. Originally I would have thought that the closing of many places on Shabbat would be a detriment to a good weekend, but I actually learned much more about the city that way.”
