The program consists of a few hours of Jewish learning in the mornings, complemented with a professional internship in the afternoons. Students have the opportunity to ask questions about gender roles, relationships, balancing work and family life, and cherished Jewish traditions in a comfortable and supportive environment that is responsive to their sensitivities and concerns.

Important Information: This program is for male students from Harvard, NYU, Penn, GW, Emory, Temple, Maryland, Rutgers, Binghamton, Boston, Brandies, and Cornell

    Dates: June 8 – August 2, 2022

    Program Cost: $399 + Airfare

Cost includes a modest food stipend or provided meals, lodging, insurance, local transportation and program costs.

Participants are responsible for arranging their own flights.

Participants will be required to submit a $200 participation and security deposit in cash upon arrival in Israel, refunded at the end if no apartment damage or missing of days of the program.

The actual cost of the Onward Israel program is much higher, and is subsidized up to 70% by Onward Israel, private donors, and local Jewish communities and institutions.

Accommodations: Meor program is based in Jerusalem. You will be living in a villa in a lovely neighborhood called Har Nof.

The number of participants to an apartment or room is dependent on the size of the accommodations and number of participants on the program.  While meeting common standards, Onward Israel housing differs by program and even within a program. To learn more about this and other Onward Israel housing details, please visit our housing FAQ.

Acceptance Criteria: Open to male students attending a Meor campus, with preference given to underclassmen. Ideally for students who have had one previous short-term Israel experience – such as Birthright Israel or a teen travel program.

Masa-eligible participants in programs which are part of the Onward/Masa partnership may qualify for additional scholarships. For more information, call Onward Israel or your local partner professional.

Participants on Onward Israel programs that are run in partnership with Masa may return to Israel on long-term Masa programs after Onward Israel. They may also be eligible for additional scholarships from Masa to help fund their participation, although the size of that scholarship may be influenced by prior participation on Onward Israel. For details please contact Masa Israel Journey directly.
