Forum for Jewish Leadership (FJL) Australia Winter Program
FJL offers outstanding internship opportunities to bright and ambitious future Jewish leaders. Our range of courses and programs provide an in-depth understanding of the theory and practice of Jewish leadership, as well as Jewish perspectives on a host of legal, political and social issues associated with the modern world.
During the trip, participants will take part in a four week internship at top Israeli and multi-national firms based in Tel Aviv, and build their resumes. Participants will work in the area of their interest while gaining a prestigious experience to aid future job applications.
Aside from the internship component, participants will attend exclusive, interactive seminars, gaining insight and advice from some of the most high-powered political, business and hi-tech leaders worldwide. Past experiences included panels and workshops with McKinsey & Company, BlackRock, Deloitte, and Ernst & Young.
In addition, participants will engage in a phenomenal opportunity to explore and delve into their heritage and address the big questions Jews face in the modern world with renowned educators, and like- minded peers with whom they will forge new, meaningful and longstanding relationships. A full summer of leadership opportunities and personal growth on the backdrop of the scenic and historic sites of the Modern State of Israel.
All participants are responsible for the cost of and arranging their own flights. Participants will be required to submit a 1,500 NIS program security deposit in cash upon arrival in Israel. Deposits will be refunded at the end of the program pending good standing. Admission is rolling. Applications will close on September 30, 2022 or earlier if the program fills.

The full cost of setting up and running the program is in excess of $7,000 AUD. Due to the generosity of Onward Israel, students who have not completed an Israel program for longer than 3 months (in the last 3 years) will be granted an automatic subsidy of $2,000, bringing the program to $4,950 AUD. Further subsidies are available for those who need. Program costs are in Israeli Shekels and based on a AUD/Shekel exchange rate of 2.4. If there is a significant drop in the exchange rate, then we may have to ask for an increased payment.
Internships are available in a variety of sectors including business, finance, law, media, architecture, politics, hi-tech, medicine and NGOs. All of these will be based in or near Tel Aviv and are an ideal opportunity to build your CV and create a prestigious experience to aid future job applications.
